Gas consumption kept rising but still far from the usual levels

Natural gas consumption and imports kept recovering, but they were still away below the usual levels from a decade ago.

Gross natural gas consumption in the country (natural gas supplies) for the first quarter amounted to 868 million cubic meters, or 6% higher than in the same period of 2024. Despite the growth, gas consumption in absolute terms remained low far from its average levels of around 1,000 million cubic meters.
