SEWRC has set temporary prices for access to the grid for RES generators
The prices to be calculated as a share of the preferential prices and to be paid by the network operators
Bulgarian State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (SEWRC) decided on September 14th to set temporary prices for access to the transmission and/or distribution network, due by the generators of electrical power from RES.
The decision concerns the power generators from RES benefiting from preferential prices and enters into force on September 18th and they have to pay to the operators of the network to which they are joined, respective amount for the provided access, due for the sold electricity.
The reasons for the decision are provisions of the Law amending and supplementing the Energy Law according to which, the generators, in their capacity of users of the network, should conclude contracts with the network operators with deadline of two months after the adoption of the law. As this period expires on 17 September 2012, the operators lodged in the implementation delay of this legislative requirement and the Commission determined the access conditions valid until the conclusion of contracts.
The Commission set temporary prices (BGN/kWh), calculated as a share of the preferential prices, which are used by all generators. This is the reason why the access prices are grouped by the type of technology as well as by the preferential price decisions and commissioning period of the plants.
The range of these temporary access prices varies from 1.10 to 236.04 BGN/MWh.
