On 02 April 2015 the new members of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission took an oath. The mandates of the commissioners are until 2020.

As expected, Mr. Ivan Ivanov was voted President of the Commission, nominated by Parliamentary Group “Reformist Bloc”. Mr. Ivanov was the only candidate for the position. Dimitar Kochkov, nominated by Parliamentary Group “Bulgarian Socialist Party”, was voted in the Plenary Hall, but withdrawn later by the submitting party. A new selection of a ninth member of EWRC is pending.
