The regulated prices of heat and natural gas go down

According to a SEWRC’s decision of 28 March 2013, the price of the natural gas falls by 3.89% since the beginning of April, considering also a proposed reduction of 3.22% by Bulgartransgaz. The captive price for connection to the gas transmission network will be 630.94 BGN/mcm before excise duty and VAT and for connection to the gas distribution network it will be 638.66 BGN/mcm before excise duty and VAT. The 630.94 BGN/mcm price is based on a 595.62 BGN/mcm price of the natural gas at the entry point of the gas transmission network, 7.50 BGN/mcm surcharge and 19.73 BGN/mcm for a transmission over the gas transmission network and the latest two fugures remain almost unchanged.

As a result, the prices for district heating and hot water supply are reduced for the different district heating companies in the range of 3.13% to 6.54%, as for Sofia DHC there is a 3.83% reduction thus one MWh  costs 80.12 BGN. The price of the heat energy in Plovdiv falls by almost 5% and is 72.16 BGN/MWh, and by 4.89% in Varna, resulting in a price of 72.57 BGN/MWh. These prices will be valid until 1 July 2013, and afterwards they will be reviewed again.

The preferential price for the electricity of Sofia DHC will be 299.36 BGN/MWh, and that for Plovdiv EVN will be 239.27 BGN/MWh and Dalkia Varna – 253.17 BGN/MWh.
