Through the energy Summer Package, the European Commission is developing its vision on the transition of the electricity system and consulting stakeholders on the future energy Market Design, preparing the ground for  a new legislation next year. As a supporter of the internal European energy market, EURELECTRIC aims to bring together stakeholders and policy makers to discuss the challenges and solutions of the electricity industry for the expected package. The event will feature high level speeches and panel debates tackling the following topics:

• What regulatory framework and which market solutions should Europe use to ensure system adequacy and keep the lights on?
• What conclusions can be drawn from the implementation of the 3rd Energy  Package? What role can the Energy Union concept play in the future?
• How will new decentralised prosumers be integrated into the market and the power system? What innovative solutions can utilities offer?
