CEER is organising a hybrid workshop to present the findings of its recently published TSO/DSO Unbundling Report at the CEER Secretariat in Brussels on Thursday, 27 June 2024.
In this paper, CEER assesses the status of Distribution System Operators (DSO) and Transmission system operators (TSO) unbundling, highlighting new developments since 2018 regarding the implementation of the rules introduced by the Clean Energy Package (CEP). The report also touches upon some developments in the hydrogen-related activities of TSOs.
The workshop will also offer our speakers the opportunity to present their views on the implications of implementing unbundling provisions in their respective areas of practice – especially regarding the implementation of DSO activities related to CEP. We will also discuss the current challenges in the implementation of the unbundling rules in hydrogen infrastructure that have emerged under the recently adopted Hydrogen and Decarbonised Gas Market Package.
